Supervisor, T&D Asset Management (15 Month Term)
Maritime Electric Company, Limited is seeking candidates for the position of Supervisor, Transmission & Distribution (T&D) Asset Management (15 Month Term).
Reporting to the Manager, T&D Operations Support, the Supervisor, T&D Asset Management has supervisory duties overseeing the work of the T&D Asset Management team, for T&D asset management programs, for T&D inspections, and for supporting T&D work designs.
The Supervisor, T&D Asset Management is responsible for but not limited to:
- Supervise the T&D Asset Management team, including T&D Inspections, Operations Support Field Coordinator, and Operations Engineer roles.
- Develop, deliver, and monitor T&D asset management programs, including inspections, maintenance, replacements and upgrades.
- Support the development of annual capital projects, including data collection, prioritization, estimating, and justification.
- Provide engineering design support to the T&D Planning team for all transmission and distribution projects, ensuring compliance with Maritime Electric standards.
- Development and maintenance of Maritime Electric’s standards and procedures.
- Monitor, forecast and procure primary equipment, including transformers and underground equipment.
- Manage operational technology used in support of asset management programs.
- Engagement and relationship management with municipal, provincial and consultant stakeholders.
- Oversee joint-use coordination for company and customer-initiated work, participate in the joint-use committee, and support joint-use agreement development.
- Lead and support asset management initiatives, including reliability teams, data collection, capital and maintenance programs, and new technologies.
- Participate in industry working groups, associations and committees.
- Perform data analysis and reporting to assess departmental and organizational measures.
- Communicate work plan requirements with Operations Support, and T&D Operations.
- Provide technical support to the Operations Department and field staff as required.
The successful candidate is required to have a Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or related discipline. Registration as a Professional Engineer in the province or working towards the professional designation is required. The successful candidate will have 3+ years of experience in the electric utility industry in standards, operations, or engineering areas. Experience in supervising employees in a technical, design, or field operations environment is considered an asset.
This position offers a competitive and comprehensive compensation and benefits package. The range of salary would be: $74,000 - $95,000 per annum.
